Lord of the Flies is a 1954 novel by the Nobel Prize-winning British author William Golding. The plot concerns a group of British boys who are stranded on an uninhabited island and their disastrous attempts to govern themselves. Themes include the tension between groupthink and individuality, between rational and emotional reactions, and between morality and immorality. Un gruppo di ragazzini vittima di un incidente aereo deve costruire una mini-società per sopravvivere in un'isola deserta. In un climax di tensione, scontri e adolescenza, il libro racconta le disavventure di ragazzi che cercano di fare quello che possono di fronte alla natura ostile, fuori e dentro di loro.
Letto al liceo. Bellissimo, nonostante la lettura "obbligata" non faccia mai piacere. Molto crudo, inquietante, diretto, cupo. L'istinto di sopravvivenza dell'uomo che trasforma i bambini naufragati sull'isola da "civili" allo stato brado.
Scritto nel 1952 ma ancora attualissimo. Consigliato.
