A collection of doodles, comic journal pages, silly ideas, mini comics, the first drafts of Tuca & Bertie (I can't wait to see it), weird recipees, portraits of a gross self, pictures of porcelains... I don't know where to stop and probably neither did Lisa Hanawalt. It's exhilarating to get inside her head for a while, but it is really confusing sometimes. At first it looked kinda like a bestiary or an herbarium of non-existent animals and plants and it reminded me of Codex Seraphinianum, a true masterpiece. But then it downgrades in a mess of ideas and scribbles.
I love Lisa Hanawalt, I laughed a lot, but I'm looking forward reading her next works.
