Ho letto questo libro in inglese (Scrap metal), ma visto che data la mia prontezza nello scrivere le recensioni nel frattempo è uscito in italiano, vi metto direttamente l’edizione di Triskell, qualora questo romanzo vi incuriosisse. Però, ecco, non posso sapere se Ida Giannini abbia fatto un buon lavoro di traduzione, perché non l’ho letto in italiano.

Nel complesso, Scrap metal mi è piaciuto: la storia scorre bene, con entrambi i protagonisti, Nichol e Cameron, che si ritrovano in una situazione difficile e che cercano di tenere botta. Si troveranno e cercheranno di sfangarla insieme. Non ho per niente apprezzato nonno Harry, perché non sopporto le vecchie teste che si comportano da stronze e che andrebbero scusate solo per la loro anzianità.

Anche il finale non mi ha fatto impazzire, un po’ troppo melodrammatico, ma sicuramente …

Anche il finale non mi ha fatto impazzire, un po’ troppo melodrammatico, ma sicuramente mi ricorderò di Scrap metal per le descrizioni di questa fattoria sull’Isola di Arran, in Scozia, un elemento non così comune nei romance, dove non si spendono tante parole sulla bellezza dei paesaggi. Fox invece ti fa proprio venire voglia di partire per la Scozia.
