Thanhha Lai (Vietnamese: Lại T. Thanhhà) (born January 1, 1965) is a Vietnamese-born American writer of children's literature. She won the 2011 National Book Award for Young People's Literature and a Newbery Honor for her debut novel, Inside Out & Back Again, published by HarperCollins.
