I've read many books on writing fiction and, with a very few exceptions (looking at you Mr. King), they've walked me through the mechanics of writing a novel or short story. This book takes a different path and focuses on telling a great story - something we all recognize but few seem capable of doing it themselves.
I've read Mr. Wendig's books, and think he's more than qualified to speak on the subject. He brings his insights, personal experiences, and a fair bit of humor to this book and the simple truths he describes left me slapping my forehead and saying "of course!" I don't know if I'll be a better writer, but I definitely feel like I can tell my stories on a deeper level with confidence.
