Tender Is the Flesh

Cadavere squisito è un romanzo fantascientifico decisamente intrigante che parte da una situazione distopica (tutti gli animali sono diventati intoccabili e immangiabili, quindi il cannibalismo è legalizzato) e si sviluppa sulle giornate di Marcos, protagonista unico di cui seguiamo la vita di tutti i giorni. Il romanzo è breve, ma se fosse stato più lungo sarebbe stato troppo pesante e, forse, troppo "diluito".

Avrei anche dato 5 stelle, ma ne tolgo mezza perché a un certo punto il finale è, per me, abbastanza scontato.

This book is short. I think that is a good thing. What the book has to is interesting and valuable to think about but it says one thing well and even though the book was short it started to feel long. I was very happy that I finished the book and didn't set it down. I think this would be a good book club book ( with the right people ) or just a book to talk about -- the discussion of the book was better than the book , to me.

A revolting dystopia, disturbing and dark, beautifully written.
